We would like to wish everyone happy holidays and a Happy New Year. I will probably remember 2025 as one of the most challenging growing seasons ever. Despite the heat and drought there were still many good crops and lots else to be thankful for. We will not be delivering CSA boxes this week (Christmas Eve) and we will not be delivering next week (New Years Eve). Things will be back on schedule the first Wednesday in January. I have micro greens and pea shoots planted in the heated greenhouse and hope to begin harvest in mid January. Root vegetables will be a little more limited than in past seasons although it looks like we should have enough. Once we get through the next couple of months there should be lots of new leafy greens coming out of the overwintered unheated cold frames. Winter always seems longer than it actually is.
I hope that everyone can enjoy some time off with family and/or friends.
