Hutten Family Farm Newsletter for Monday Sep 6, 2010

We weathered Hurricane Earl well and hope you did too.  There was insignificant damage to any of our tree fruit crops.  The heat last week was extreme and caused some damage in cherry tomatoes in the cold frames because they were over heated.  We continue picking all the regular vegetables as well as apples.  We begin picking bartlett pears this week and continue to pick gingergold apples and gravensteins.  This week the boxes will  have yellow japanese watermelon, green beans, mixed beets, basil and lots more seasonal fruit while its still here.  I will continue to give you the full list of what is in your box through the reminder email on Wednesday.  If you are not receiving this email and would like too you can login to your account through our website and turn it on.
