Hutten Family Farm Newsletter for Wednesday May 23, 2012
It been very busy on the farm now for a few weeks. We seed, transplant, weed, and harvest continually. Many new greens are ready each week and other crops are getting close. I ate a couple of undersize snap peas yesterday. Zucchini plants are in bud and carrots have tops on them about four inches high. Things look good in general, but the soil is dry.
One of my customers is teaming up with us to offer recipes weekly that are relevant to the weekly CSA box. Her name is Selah Koile. We have not finalized the format of the recipes yet. We may just have a link in each newsletter to her website once we are better organized. Here is this weeks ideas.
